Kristine Anderson recently got an impromptu tour of Old Globe Reclaimed Wood Company in Superior, Wisconsin. The company is carefully harvesting wood from the Globe Elevators, built in 1897 on the Duluth-Superior Harbor. They have wonderful old-growth Eastern White Pine columns, beams and "pancake" walls. Over many years, the pancake walls were smoothly carved by the tons of grain running over their surfaces. We used this amazing material in our new office to create a stunning wall in our front entry!
