Mid-Century Modern
The entry to this 1950s mid-century modern home in Edina was dark and hidden before this dynamic addition. The overpowering garage was deemphasized by surrounding it with a generous master suite above and new guest room on the main level. The interplay of geometric, illuminated red planes creates a brilliant lantern at the entry. The tall entrance has become the hub of activity in this busy house, connecting the different levels of the home to a master suite that includes a spa-like bathroom.
The project was featured in the March 2008 issue of Midwest Home magazine.
