Situated on Lake Minnetonka in the historic resort town of Excelsior, this new modern home is just blocks from the beaches, Excelsior Commons, and the restaurants and shops on Water Street. Designed to fit neatly on the narrow lakefront lot while integrating easily into the eclectic neighborhood, this modestly scaled home combines traditional lake cottage vernacular with modern design elements, high-quality materials and an array of sustainable features including a green roof, a solar array and an electric car charging station. A charming freestanding structure was rebuilt from the historic garage, echoing the rhythm of West Lake Street.
