This project began with a family’s deep emotional connection to a beloved lakeside cabin and a desire to carry its spirit forward. Our clients sought a retreat that honored generations of memories while creating a relaxed, welcoming place for the future. Set on a secluded lake surrounded by pines and birches, the design replaces the original cabin with three light filled pavilions that open fully to the landscape. Floor to ceiling glass, simple one level living, and repurposed materials connect past and present, creating a timeless setting for gathering, reflection, and new traditions.
