House in the Woods
Our clients, art collectors and world travelers, had lived in New York for many years, so they envisioned their home as a piece of art, juxtaposing their refined aesthetic with untamed nature. Set amidst the trees overlooking a quiet lake, the home reveals itself only to the clients and their guests. The deceptively simple design consists of a series of boxes clad in ivory and bronze panels punctuated by expanses of glass, while the interiors, designed by the client, set the stage for a deeply personal collection of sculpture, photography, paintings and antiques from Europe, Asia and South America.
