Lake Maka Ska Residence
Our clients wanted to update their 1929 English Tudor for single-level living, and eventually, aging in place. Guided by a respect for the original scale and materiality of the home, we closed up the existing curb cut and garage and transformed it into storage space. In addition to a new, three-car garage with stucco and half-timber detailing, we relocated the kitchen, created a new dining room and a mudroom, and added new windows. Finished with a fresh coat of paint, hand-crafted cedar shake roofs and a new alfresco living environment, this stately home continues to blend gracefully into the neighborhood.
