Unique materials and unexpected colors create a sense of surprise and delight in this kitchen in Deer Valley, Utah. Solid wood cabinets, zinc and lava stone countertops, and a custom blackened-steel hood bring an authentic quality appropriate to the stone and glass mountaintop home. The juxtaposition of lime-green enameled cabinets and the La Cornue range creates a vibrant splash against a backdrop of stone. This exceptional design, a collaboration with interior designer Andrew Flesher and Hagman Architects, is another example of Lars Peterssen and Gabriel Keller’s ‘organic modern’ design philosophy.
